24 May 201624 May 201623 Comments

‘May the best man win.’ And so he did, at least in my book. It’s just been announced that Andy Sturgeon has been awarded Best Show Garden, 2016 for his ‘The Telegraph Garden’. Continue reading →

Daylilies in Regent's Park. Janna Schreier

Daylilies by the lake in Regent’s Park, London

This time last year I was in the UK…and what a wonderful time of the year it is for gardens. It’s that perfect point where growth is full and generous, yet still fresh and new; foliage unblemished, tall and Continue reading →

Chelsea 2015

Chelsea Flower Show 2015. Photo: The Frustrated Gardener

I’m bursting with excitement! It’s Chelsea time.

And what a fabulous year it is. Whilst it doesn’t open for a few more hours and the awards and medals have yet to be announced, I’ve already had Continue reading →

Bright, autumn colours at Cruden Farm. Janna Schreier

Bright, autumn colours combined in a surprisingly delightful way with bold succulents at Cruden Farm

I think I have found it. A garden that scores 100 out of 100. Even in dreary old late autumn. Continue reading →

Perovskia and Canna flowering at Glenmore House

In the outskirts of Sydney sits something much more than a beautiful garden. Glenmore House, a Georgian, sandstone cottage complete with myriad outbuildings, has expansive Continue reading →

Arriving at Cameron Paterson’s Toorak garden

When I arrived at Cameron Paterson’s Toorak garden I was expecting to see something that was nice enough.  I had seen a few pleasant pictures online, but you know, they don’t always Continue reading →

Location

I'm based in Chelsea, London and primarily work across zones 1 and 2. However, I do love to step out into the countryside from time to time. I've worked with gardeners in a number of countries so if you think you might like to work with me, wherever you are, just give me a call or drop me an email.

About

In 2007, I resigned from my corporate job at Heathrow to follow my husband’s career abroad. I engaged in a distance learning course with the Royal Horticultural Society and have never looked back. Now back in the UK, I hope to bring flavours of my adventures to my design ideas, from the clay tropics to the sandy desert. My passion for gardens knows no bounds and I hope I can inspire you to develop your love of gardening too.
